Moms’ Summer Book Club
Summer 2024
Our book selection is For the Children’s Sake by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay.
We will meet three times over the summer. Please contact Rose for meeting details.
All moms are welcome as we study an encouraging book to prepare our hearts for a new school year. This particular book is not a step-by-step guide to homeschooling. It is an introduction to the whole-child philosophy of education by Charlotte Mason. This philosophy applies not just to homeschooling, but parenting in general. The goal of this study is to elevate the atmosphere of our homes, and grow as better mothers, educators, and hopefully friends!
This book is available as an audiobook, a perfectly acceptable means to join our study. You may want to jot down some notes to share during our discussions.
You do not need to be a member of Woodland Homeschool Fellowship to join the summer book study for moms.
Please reach out if you are interested!

Is there not some need for “mother culture”? But how is the state of things to be altered? So many mothers say, “I simply have no time for myself!” “I never read a book!” Or else, “I don’t think it is right to think of myself!” ~ “A”, The Parents’ Review, Volume 3, no. 2, 1892/93
